Insurance Information
One thing that you should consider when selecting an auto glass company is whether or not they are an "insurance approved vendor". Star Glass Company has worked hard to become an "insurance approved vendor" with most major insurance companies. This means that we meet certain requirements that have been set forth by these insurance companies. Requirements include but are not limited to; increased shop liability insurance coverage, having technicians that are actually employed (as opposed to using sub-contractors) and pre-arranged pricing agreements. This last requirement means that Star Glass Company bills your insurance company based on their requirements. We won't over bill your insurance company because they tell us what to charge them.
Our knowledgeable staff processes thousands of claims with many different companies. We will deal directly with them to settle your claim in a timely manner with no burden to you. In Arizona, you have the opportunity to have full coverage glass without a deductible. Ask your insurance agent about the benefits of this coverage in a state where an average windshield lasts only 1.5 years. If your agent won't give you those benefits call us and we will be happy to recommend an agent who works toward your benefit and not their company's bottom line.
Another interesting and little known fact is that a number of insurance companies employ a tactic called "steering" when helping you to set up your windshield replacement claim. This means that they recommend an auto glass replacement company to perform your windshield or other replacement work. Insurance companies rarely advertise the fact that you have the right to choose any company that you want to perform your glass replacement.
One reason for this is that the insurance company has often negotiated a flat rate for your windshield replacement with the company that they "steer" you to. This practice saves the insurance company lots of money annually but often does so at the cost of sacrificed quality. If you don't use Star Glass Company, be sure to ask the auto glass company that you do use what brand of glass they will be installing in your car. There are many aftermarket brands of glass that meet industry standards but that won't live up to the quality of the glass that you deserve.
If you have a question about glass brands, please call Star Glass Company, we would be happy to answer any questions you might have.
